                                PRAYER

Waiting for that are many; yet, doing penance to achieve that are rare.

They who realize that are scarce – They enter at the end of ages as incarnations.
Achieving self-realization, they become unselfish visitors.

The realized ones are those, who always exist in the present, yet move to past and future as they wish.

The great yogis are those who mercilessly relinquish all the miraculous powers which they get from penance and meditation.

My soul bents in obeisance to The Almighty who loves eternity, while existing in yogic sleep.
My soul bents in obeisance to the teacher who kindled the light in me as my God.
My soul bents in obeisance to those souls who are searching God.
My soul bents in obeisance to father as to Absolute and to mother as its manifestation as Nature.  My soul bents in obeisance to Mother Nature, who took me in her womb and made me expand as fire.
I pray for His blessing to enable me to reach the one and only Truth, by attaining salvation through the journey to achieve eternity, loving Him ardently till I merge with it.

DEATH – THE KEY TO ETERNAL BLISS
Where was I yesterday?
I do not know.
Maybe, I was somewhere, doing something.  Someone, somebody might have loved me.  Possibly, I too might have loved someone, might even have lived for them.
But where was I?
All right.  Let it go. Yet, who am I? No.  Who was I?
Do not know.
Maybe, I was an individual.  Maybe, I was an emperor exerting sovereign powers.  Or a great monk.
On the other hand, I might have been a horse or ant or rat or anything else.
Yet, who was I?
Yes. I am unconscious.
But, whatever it is, if one realizes that he is not conscious, he will no more be ignorant and unconscious.  He will be cognizant.
Yes. I am cognizant.
When one realizes that he was a raindrop on yesterdays and it is the same drop which is flowing to-day as a river, he is in the shade of the sky of awareness.
And the realization that he is the eternal one who was there yesterday, is there to-day and will be there tomorrow, will be there ever, is the greatest of all knowledge, the dawn of super-consciousness.
But it is the tale of, rather the plane of existence of, the arena of, monks and yogis and god-incarnates.
But the average men and women have only birth and death.
That is, we simply wander being unaware of the proper path and stops in shock when the see the place they finally reach.
That is, we exist without knowing the purpose of life or the goal of it and stop shocked when death arrives.
It happens so because instead of possessing or trying to possess that knowledge, which is essential, we keep a lot of unnecessary information.
And that is because our consciousness always remains flooded with inane caricatures like ‘I am a doctor,’ I am an engineer’,  ‘I am the most popular minister’ etc.  Also in my consciousness is the information about my bank balance; whether it is thousand rupees or more.
But I am not even aware of the fact that I am breathing!!!
When that is the situation, how can I be conversant of the realities, which exist between life and death?
How can death, which presents itself as the  terror- inflicting piece of rope of Yama (The controller of death) meant to end my existence upon this earth, can be bliss eternal?
Death, which is unavoidable; which may approach any moment.
If an earthquake occurs, if the mountain of ice melts, if the sun gets extinguished?
All wild thoughts leading towards death.
Strange are the worries of a human life, which wavers between inhaling and exhaling.  A real joke indeed!
Does the man, who sleeps in beautiful house, know that the candle of his life will be extinguished if a single piece of wood falls down from above upon his head?
But palaces are being built. The process will continue.
Actually, what is meant by ‘death’?
            Is it misery? Or ecstasy?
Or it the continuation of life, which is a blend of pains and pleasures?
The Old man inside the room, who is counting his last few breaths, being aware of imminent death, and the toddling child in the banana grove who takes the coiled up cobra in its hand and kisses it, are in fact the symbols of something or other.  And then there is the great grandmother who sits in a corner and reads the epic Ramayana being unaware of the happenings around!
Some people are like that. Being unaware of death, they will kiss and play with poisonous snake. And when the snake bites, they will cry aloud.  The poison will spread all over the body and the panicky situation will result in losing the snake.  And it all ends in something which we call death.
But the old man inside is counting down his last breathes.
A life which turns to ashes in its horror of going to an unknown place, to its end, leaving everything behind!
The fate of the great grandmother who repeatedly reads and recites without mistake the holy texts to attain salvation is also pitiable.  She neither knows the other world, nor knows this world.
Doubtlessly, death is either a  misery or a blend of pleasures and pains as far as these people are concerned. Then it is to whom that death becomes bliss eternal?
No doubt. It is to them who have come prepared for the return journey.
And even if they too are those who kiss the snakes or count the breathes or read the holy texts in order to attain the pleasures of the other world, death is eternal bliss to them.  Because, they have come to return.
Let me tell one thing here.  I do not mean that spiritual books and epics are inauspicious or useless. They are definitely holy and they help in leading to such works which will help in self-realization.
But even if it is a garland with beautiful, fresh-smelling flowers sewn together, what use it will have, if it is in the hands of a monkey?
The monkey, although being a display of that great radiance, unfortunately cannot use it in the proper manner, by pondering over the scientific and divine qualities, both positives and negatives, of the flowers by smelling them.
But it does not mean that man has the right to use the garland of flowers and epics in any way as he fancies, although he possess the capacity of deliberation.
Because, although all citizens are equal as per the constitution, they are not equal on the spiritual planes.  Further, I do not believe that every human being is born with the same qualities. Maybe, it is due to so many reasons.
1. Only that thing is being created which is not already there.
2. Only that thing which is there can reach the stage of extermination.
3. Just like a small one can become big; a big one can become small.
4. An object can persist in a state only when all the factors which are needed for that state remain as it is. (Example: Ice will remain in the same state at 00.  But if the temperature reaches 1000, the same ice will become steam).
           5. Nothing comes out of nothing.  If there is something to-day, which was      not there yesterday, surely it is born out of something or a group of things which was there yesterday and probably which is still in existence to-day.
If that is the case, then certainly I am not born to-day and I will not be destroyed tomorrow.
I am the continuation of yesterday.
I am the state of the present.
I am the symbol of evolution to tomorrow.
Then how can I be dead?
If everything is the creation of God, why are these disparities?
Yes. That is, that itself is the secret behind death becoming bliss eternal.  Because, I am that eternal radiance. Yes. I am transition.
Therefore, I am without death. Changing to flower and ant. Wind and rain. Man and pure Consciousness.
Then how can I die?
Yes.  I am the endless, deathless continuity.
That continuity, which is named as the reminiscence of cultures of previous births.
The continuity of divine consciousness.
The cause of external and internal disparities.
And the reason is the two planes of existence.
1.             Either I exist in the unity of the internal and external. Or in the diversity of     the internal and external.
2.           Or I exist beyond the planes of internal and external, always remaining in the divinity, where there is no duality as internal and external.

In the plane of existence mentioned as No. 1 above, disparities exist. Because externals are defined based on the rate of merger of external objects. It may increase, it may decrease. While one person is tall, another one will be short.  When one get eyes another one will be deprived of that component. In this way, the external dissimilarities exist. But this is the merger of objects at the subtlest level.  And behind it all is the Jagadatman (soul of the universe).
But differences are there in the visible plane too. One is rich, while the other is poor. Here the various components like wealth, possessions, properties etc. are connected to that domain, which is the individual. The difference is that the function of Jagadatman is being discharged here by the human soul which is controlled by mind (in particular circumstances).
The disparities in the internal plane are also like this. Intelligent – Stupid, theist – atheist, wise – unwise, conscious – unconscious etc. are disparities at the internal plane.
An experience of this moment becomes the lesson of next moment.
If someone comes to murder a person, the spontaneous reaction of that person – either running away or defending himself – may not be a lesson learned in this life.  Because, there is no possibility for his having got murdered or having seen a murder or having murdered someone in this life.  All that he might have learnt about murder or assassination in this life will be the news which he might have read in newspaper. But he would never have read in the newspaper to run away and escape, if someone comes to kill him!  Then who taught him to run away? Nobody. And if the argument is that it is purely genetic, then why people are often unable to face a strange, dangerous situation.   And it is here that the continuity of knowledge accumulated from the experiences of previous births becomes the subject matter.
The disparities occur because one person’s experience and the knowledge accumulated by him need not be the same for another person.  While the cat which once fell into hot water will run away even when it sees cold water, another cat which always played in cold water may jump into hot water if it happens to see that, without being able to guess the danger.
But if the external and internal are one and the same, there will not be any disparity since there will not be any dualistic situation to enable a comparison.  There will be one and only one existence with everything merged into it.
The monistic vision of me being the ugly one and the same me being the beautiful one is in fact the feel of the universal soul and it is beyond all other visions. It is beyond thoughts because it is the combination of me and you.
In reality, I am none other than you.  And thus your thoughts and my thoughts merge into each other to become that thought which is me.
When all other thoughts cease, only I will be there everywhere.
But the key to this stage is linked to death, linked to the thought of death.
Because, at first, it draws the pictures of body and the soul as separate entities. Then leads to  the realization called eternity.
That is the state of bliss.
And if we read it along with transformation,  the state of continuity also will be realized.
At the peak of that awareness, the non-duality called Godliness  will be accomplished.
And that is bliss  eternal.
In this way the journey in search of the unknown called death will lead to awareness and through it to the state of bliss eternal.
